Darren Jackson is a member of our Technology, Media and Telecommunications practices. He is also one of Bain’s foremost Internet of Things (IoT) experts.

For the past 15 years, Darren has advised clients across industries and sectors, most recently focusing on internet and mobile media, enterprise software, and network equipment. He also focuses heavily on customer experience both B2C and B2B. Further, he has led an array of due diligence efforts for private equity clients. Darren's preeminent case work includes the successful multi-year transformation of a Fortune 50 enterprise hardware and software vendor, which included a five-year IoT strategy.

Prior to Bain, he worked as an investment banker for Merrill Lynch & Co and as a financial analyst for The Boeing Company.

He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Finance and Business Communications from the University of Southern California (USC).

A former Board member of the Library Foundation of Los Angeles, Darren is deeply passionate about education in lower-income communities. He is also a staunch sports and music enthusiast.

Many enterprise customers believe that vendors haven’t significantly lowered the biggest barriers to IoT adoption. Darren Jackson discusses how companies can succeed by focusing on fewer industries, understanding customer pain points and addressing those concerns through end-to-end solutions.
